Abstract
The Xisha Islands are located in the South China Sea, 250 km south of Hainan Island. They comprise more than 30 islands and coral reefs, of which Youngloo and Sinyin Islands are the principal ones. The sea temperature around the islands always exceeds 30 ° C in summer, and marine algae and animals are abundant.
