Abstract

Nilobathynella predynastica n.g., n.sp.from Abri, Nubia, is the first representative of the Tribus Ctenioba- thynellini in the Nile Valley. Its relationship with the other Cteniobathynellini, as well as its biogeographical significance, are briefly discussed.
