Organic Superconductors: Quasi-One-Dimensional Conductors, Anomalous Superconductors, Promising Materials

  • Chapter
Physics and Chemistry of Electrons and Ions in Condensed Matter

Part of the book series: NATO ASI Series ((ASIC,volume 130))

Abstract

This lecture shows that a vast amount of experimental results obtained in the (TMTSF)2X family cannot be understood with the well established theory of electrons in metallic conductors. We survey a theoretical model based on the strong One-Dimensionality of these organic conductors which seems to give at least presently the only consistent picture.
