Abstract

Coherent interaction between light and matter has been intensively studied in recent years.1 Using ultrashort laser pulses and novel experimental techniques we are in the position to derive information from these investigations on vibrational and rotational dynamics in the electronic ground state of simple molecules. In this brief summary three topics will be discussed.
