Abstract
In (2) we obtained necessary and sufficient conditions for a strongly group-graded ring to be prime or semiprime. In this note, we point out how the same methods can apply to yield analogous results for the somewhat larger class of cancellative group- graded rings. Since a complete proof of these new results would require totally rewriting (2) and since these results can probably be further generalized, we do not offer a detailed proof here. Rather we indicate the few new ideas involved, list a few pertinent lemmas and then refer the reader to (2).
