Summary
This paper summarizes the achievements of the present cost 64b project and outlines the technical framework for a follow-up project. In particular, the selection of topics for the new project is discussed. the main activity of the new project will concentrate on behaviour and transformations of organic pollutants in the aquatic environment and in water treatment processes. There will also be work directed towards basic analytical techniques. However, in this area, the main emphasis will be put on specific analytical methods for selected compounds and for groups of compounds. The work will be implemented through working parties and activity centers with defined responsibilities in the mentioned areas.
