Thermochemistry of β-Diketones and Metal-β-Diketonates. Metal-Oxygen Bond Enthalpies

  • Chapter
Thermochemistry and Its Applications to Chemical and Biochemical Systems

Part of the book series: NATO ASI Series ((ASIC,volume 119))

Abstract

The thermochemical data available for standard enthalpies of formation and for standard enthalpies of sublimation or vaporization3 both for β-diketones and metal-β-diketonates, are reviewed, and the mean homolytic metal-oxygen bond enthalpies in the metal complexes are derived. The results are discussed ccnd3 whenever appropriate, trends in data are suggested.
