Abstract
The main issue in this paper is to reveal and discuss a conceptual circle that is embedded in some current hypotheses in the philosophy of health. I believe that this circle is worthwhile studying for at least two reasons. (1) It is not altogether trivial and obvious, since it involves more than one step of reasoning. (2) It is the result of quite plausible analyses of the concepts involved.
