Abstract
In this paper I propose to present a few unpublished results concerning Mereology. Although this theory is one of the essential constituents of Leśniewski’s system of the foundations of mathematics, it is little known, and little research has been done up to now in this field of study.1 Consequently Mereology abounds in problems which so far have remained unsolved. Some of these problems will emerge in the last section of the paper.
