Abstract

For a machine represented in the primitive diagram by n coils there are n voltage equations and a torque Eqn. (1.6). If the n applied voltages and the applied torque are known, as well as initial conditions, the (n + 1) equations are sufficient to determine the n currents and the speed. Hence theoretically the performance of the machine is completely determined.
