Regeneration and cyclic changes

Abstract

In Section 3.1 we saw that when gaps in vegetation were large enough for regeneration to be very obvious, the changes often appeared cyclic. In this chapter we will discuss a few examples. Regeneration in forest will, with one exception, be dealt with later in Chapter 6.
