Abstract
The organic derivatives of bismuth are generally more reactive than those of antimony, their reactivities being comparable to those of the lead derivatives. They have been fairly extensively studied, particularly in connection with their possible pharmacological applications, where some attention has been directed to the preparation of water-soluble organobismuth compounds. However, since no important application has been found for them, they have received little recent attention.
