Abstract
Recently certain advances have been made in researches on the etiology, pathology, diagnosis, prevention and treatment of oral mucosal disease, especially on the principle of ‘determination of treatment based on the differentiation of symptoms and signs’ of traditional Chinese medicine. At the same time, many more advances have also been made in recognizing and studying the experiences in traditional Chinese medicine alongside the theory and method of modern medicine.
