Abstract

I was particularly happy to be assigned the task of reviewing Blaauw’s scientific work. Adriaan and I grew up scientifically under very similar circumstances. I have always felt a special affinity with his work. So you can imagine how great a pleasure it was to dive once again into his scientific adventures.
