Abstract
The time variations of the SiO (v=1, J=2–1) maser line towards eight late type stars and Orion A have been observed with the Onsala 20 m telescope. R Leo, o Ceti, and Orion A were observed at monthly intervals between December 1977 and mid 1979 (Hjalmarson and Olofsson, 1979). During 1979 and 1980 six more sources were added (χ Cyg, R Cas, NML Tau, U Ori, R Aq1, and T Cep), and the observations were then performed every second to third month, occasionally with longer breaks, until January 1984. Only the late type stars will be discussed below.
