Abstract

According to a definition given by Whalley (1), what astrophysicists usually call “ices” are moderately volatile substances such as N2, CH4, CO, CO2, NH3, S02 and H2O. One can add to this list solia argon, krypton and xenon and the hydrates of a number of the above mentioned compounds and elements.
