Abstract
Over the last decade the great development of inorganic photochemistry, as restricted to classical coordination compounds in aqueous solutions 1,2, has spurred corresponding activity in the interdisciplinary field of organometallic photochemistry3,4. This field is now burgeoning in many directions since recent results have shown that irradiation of organometallic compounds can lead to catalytic and synthetic useful transformations of organic substrates5,6.
