Abstract
Pressure evaluation is an integral part of formation evaluation. The physical, chemical and geological processes which contribute to the formation of pore pressures require varying time and space, and the result is that pore pressures range from overburden magnitudes to as low as 30 to 40 percent of normal hydrostatic pressures.
