Abstract
The earthquake of november 8 in Liège was not really an exceptional event in consideration to his magnitude and to historical seismicity in this region but it caused exceptional damages. The total cost of the damages is actually estimated as being in excess of 3 milliards belgian francs : this means about 60 millions $.
