Abstract
Catalytic oxidation is an important process in organic synthesis. Homogeneous catalysts are used in many large-scale processes for the oxidation of alkanes, alkenes and arenes. The industrial importance of these reactions, and a general overview of the chemistry, is presented in Parshall’s book entitled Homogeneous Catalysis [1367].
