Abstract
(1) The transition from surface studies of seismic wave patterns already formed to studies of their process of its formation sparked off the development of the method of Vertical Seismic Profiling based on down-hole observations. Methodologically, the method is based on the correlational tracking along the vertical profile not only of the first arrivals, but of all the subsequent events on the seismogram as well.
