Abstract

The diffusion Kinetics of silver atoms in phases AgxNbS2 was studied in relation with their structures. The relatively low value of the chemical diffusion coefficient, \( \tilde{D} \) ≈ 10-6.5 cm2s-1 in second stage 6R-AgxNbS2, as compared to that in first stage 2H-AgxNbS2, \( \tilde{D} \) ≈ 10-4.5 cm2s-1, is attributed to the coupling of the diffusion kinetics with stage conversion in island type domains.
