Abstract

Because of the heterogeneity of concrete which causes the formation of a fracture process zone in front of a crack, conventional fracture parameters of concrete normally used in LEFM have been found to be size dependent unless the dimensions of the member under consideration exceed values which would make routine testing very difficult /l/.
