Abstract
Over the past two decades transplantation of livers has been developed for patients in end-stage non-alcoholic liver disease and non-disseminated primary liver carcinoma. Both technically and immunologically, these transplants have recently come out of the experimental stage into a carefully balanced practice, limited to a few well-organized centres in the world [1].
