Hepatic transplantation in a child using a reduced-sized orthotopic liver graft

Abstract

In some cases, transplantation of the liver is difficult to achieve due to the large size of the graft. This is particularly the case for heterotopic liver transplantation when there is not enough room in the abdomen for a normal sized liver graft or for orthotopic liver transplantation in children when the liver graft comes from an older donor.
