Sensitivity, Applicability and Validation of Bi-Gaussian Off- and On-Line Models for the Evaluation of the Consequences of Accidental Releases in Nuclear Facilities

Safety of Thermal Water Reactors

Summary

The use of the IFDM and CAERS models of the S.C.K. for the simulation of the atmospheric dispersion of routine respectively incidental releases has been validated in two phases. In task 1 the sensitivity of the results of the bi-Gaussian model to different input parametrinations has been discussed. In task 2 the model results are experimentally validated by comparing the calculations with measurement results of 11 tracer dispersion experiments.
