Submarine slope failures

Abstract

Although major advances have been made in seabed mechanics during the last 20 years, it is still a Cinderella subject with many problems. The biggest difficulty is assessing the data or parameters needed to establish mathematical solutions, assuming we have determined what are the reliable parameters and the appropriate equations to quantify the seabed sediment properties.
