Abstract
Gastro-intestinal disorders present a mixture of common minor conditions such as acute infections or irritations with sickness and diarrhoea; of vague and undetermined symptoms; of major diseases such as cancer and acute abdominal emergencies; and of definable organic disorders such as peptic ulcers, herniae and piles.
