Abstract
In recent communications on prolonged oral chelation treatment after injection of 238Pu and 241 Am in rats (Vo84a,b) even small amounts of Zn-DTPA in drinking water were demonstrated to reduce substantially the organ contents of both actinides. The different effect of treatment on the proximal and distal parts of the femur and humerus was considered to be due to differences in bone growth and remodelling.
