Abstract
The testes are the primary generative organs of the male and are situated outside the peritoneal cavity in the scrotum. There is now good evidence that the lower temperature in this site is required for effective spermatogenesis. The organ has two essential functions, the production of spermatozoa and the production of male sex hormones.
