Abstract

This chapter gives a theoretical background of five studied applications of solar hot water production:

  • biogas digester heating

  • waterheating for intensive aquaculture

  • floor heating for pigs

  • hot water preparation for hygienic purposes in dairy farms

  • milk preparation on calf-rearing farms.
