Abstract

Picosecond spectroscopy(1) is a well established field; however picosecond Raman is a rather new technique which has recently emerged from the rapid advances in laser technology. This manuscript will discuss two examples of vibrational spectroscopy which illustrate the detailed information which may be obtained to elucidate the dynamics and structural changes occurring during the course of ultrafast chemical reactions.
