Abstract
Repetitive control is a new control scheme, in which the control variables follow the periodic reference commands with high accuracy. The asymptotic tracking property is achieved by locating the model 1/(1-exp(-Ls)) with appropriate digital filters in the closed-loop system. A design procedure of microprocessor-based repetitive control systems is proposed based on the derived stability condition and their properties. The method is applied to the control of a single axis electric servomechanism in which the controller is implemented on a 16-bit microprocessor. The experimental result shows that the tracking error can be reduced rapidly to very low level by repetitive operation.
