Abstract

A model of dust emission is built which contains graphite, silicate grains and the recently discovered PAH molecules. The resulting infrared spectra are compared with IRAS observations. It seems Ekely that there is a gap in the size distribution between graphite grains and PAH molecules. Furthermore, this model can account for the anticorrelation seen in our Galaxy in the color-color diagram F(12μ)/F(25p) vs F(60μ)/F(100μ).
