Abstract
The DWBA theory with the RPA multipole response functions to an external isovector neutron field are used to calculate the direct contributions to 14 MeV neutron inelastic scattering of 56Fe, 58Ni and 52Cr. Summing these microscopic direct spectra with the parametrized evaporation contributions we obtained a quite good agreement with the experimental double-differential cross-sections.
