Novel Approach to the Statistical Theory of Nuclear Reactions

Abstract

I describe the statistical input, and some of the results obtained recently, in the statistical theory of nuclear reactions with the help of a novel theoretical approach. This approach makes use of and generalizes methods developed by Wegner, Schäfer, and Efetov in the theory of disordered solids.
