Abstract

Recent results on the internal rotation of the sun are difficult to explain. These problems are reviewed and it is conjectured that a 3He driven mixed shell near 0.3R) magnetically separates the inner core from the outer regions. Such a shell may rotate differentially and may separate a more rapidly spinning core from the rest of the sun.
