Abstract

In this chapter, a simplified processing stream for marine data is described, and then modifications in the stream are included along with modification rationales. The basic marine processing stream is given in table 10.1. Then a simplified processing stream for land data and modifications thereof are described. Multiple suppression using F-K filters on normal-moveout-corrected CDP gathers and the effect of phase on Wiener-Levinson are described in detail. Then follows the practical problem of reading labels on seismic sections and the meaning of polarity.
