Abstract

Over the past decade much progress has been made in the induction of haploid plants in economically important forest and fruit trees in China. This has resulted in the production of “pollen plantlets,” i.e., plantlets derived from pollen in vitro, of 9 families, 11 genera, and more than 20 species (Table 1).
