Abstract
Nickel-niobium amorphous ribbons have been made by planar flow casting in vacuum (figure 1). Light and SEM micrographs of annealed ribbons showed that crystallization occured in the bulk and not from the surface giving a fine microcrystallized structure (1019 gains/m3).
