Abstract
Although numerical methods of stress analysis are often preferred over experimental methods, the value of the experimental approach increases with the complexity of loading conditions, structural geometry and material response, [1]. Fatigue in notched components typically involves material nonlinear inelastic response and severe deformation gradients.
