Abstract
The paper presents method of determination of combined, membrane and bending state of stress in thin-walled structures, on the basis of the model investigation. The problem is illustrated on the example of the rectangular plate weakened with two holes. The plate subject to shearing is present in post-buckling state is made of photoelastic material. Membrane stress state is obtained using photostress analysis. Distribution of deflections is determinated with accuracy of 0.1 mm. Discrete results of tests are interpolated by bicubic polynomial splines. Distribution of deflections and combined effective stress is presented in the form of the computer maps.
