Abstract
The publication of Mischel’s book in 1968 provoked reactions which, after all this time, can still be compared to a minor earthquake. The scientific landscape in the fields of differential psychology and personality research has changed substantially and many persons working in this landscape now have quite different trains of thought compared to earlier researchers, with their activities being concerned with intensive reconstruction of the whole subject.
