Abstract

In order to recognise some new facts relating to the improvement of nutritional status of agricultural crops by micronutrients with the natural plant growth bioregulator applied foliary and through roots, the authors have investigated: interaction between Mg, B, and Zn-nutrients and natural plant growth bioregulator on the growth of grape vine; effect of foliar nutrition on the content of uptaken nutrients by the plants and the activities of root system, and the new way of applying micronutrients (Fe, Zn, Mn and Cu as Wuxal formulation) in the mineral nutrition of pear trees (fruit cultures with low rankness).

  1. a)

In the field experiment with the Italian Riesling variety, the authors have noticed various positive effects of Mg, B and Zn in combination with the bioregulator Agrostemin on the growth of grape vine. During planting, grafts were submerged into the solutions of Agrostemin, and, depending on the treatments, Mg, Zn and B salts were added into pits. In the second year, the plants were treated by spraying their leaves. The positive effects of the combined treatment reflected themselves in the increased growth of canes (their weight, length, width and thickness) as well as in the increased gathering of Mg, B and Zn in leaves and canes.

  2. b)

Studying the effects of the foliar nutrition upon the content of the nutrients uptaken by the plants and upon the activity of root system of the hybrid maize plants OSSC 544, the authors have concluded that the treated experimental plants showed higher biomass yield, especially in the over-ground parts; distribution of these uptaken elements towards roots was not present, except in the case of Zn; a small effect produced treated plants on the lowering pH value of the root medium, but a higher release of electrolytes was evident.

  3. c)

On the basis of the results achieved with the use of a special method of curing deficiencies of fruit cultures with low rankness, the authors have found that the method decribed in this experiment is economical and effective in curing microelements deficiencies in the nutrition of fruit cultures.
