Abstract
Generally speaking, soil testing includes soil sampling and analyzing for available nutrients. The testing results are then discussed and recommendations for fertilization are suggested. In the opinion of several authors, numerous problems need to be solved before soil testing can be applied to forestry (Burg 1976; Kowalkowski 1973; Ostrowska 1977; Pritchett 1979). In this connection, investigations were carried out to determine the fertility of soils under pine stands.
