Abstract
Until the introduction of Tc99m-phosphate complexes by Subramanian in 1971, Sr87m was the radioisotope of choice for skeletal scintigraphy (1). Between the late sixties and 1976, Sr87m was commercially available by means of several Y87/Sr87m generator systems. In most of these generator systems, Y87 was adsorbed to an anion exchanger in the carbonate form (2).
