Abstract

When Ludwig Rehn successfully repaired a right ventricular stab wound in 1896, he opened up a new page in the treatment of cardiac disease.[1] The decades that followed witnessed exponential progress in the surgical management of valvular, congenital and ischemic cardiac problems.
