Abstract

Of the biologically active trichothecene derivatives produced by Fusarium species, only nivalenol, fusarenon (fusarenon-X), deoxynivalenol (DON) (vomitoxin), 3-acetyldeoxynivalenol, diacetoxyscirpenol (DAS) and T-2 toxin have been formed in naturally contaminated foodstuff [1].
