Abstract

This chapter will refer to the estimates of resources contained in annexes 10, 11, 12, 13, and especially 14, which provides a synthesis for all nonrenewable sources according to the regional breakdown adopted. We shall not again go into the necessarily approximate and incomplete nature of the estimates nor the fuzziness of the lines of demarcation between categories. The figures contained in the annexes will be taken as given and will be analysed first by region and then by energy source.
