Abstract
In 1984 and 1985, SIMRAD Subsea A/S has developed an autonomous, freeswimming underwater vehicle.
The main task has been to develop a prototype system in order to get knowledge and experience in designing, controlling and operating such vehicles.
This paper will describe the vehicle and some of the principles used. Also the acoustic telemetry command system and the navigation system will be described.
